Illustration Friday Tea
I had finished this watercolour in the drawing course. What is important here for Ilustration Friday is the authentic Turkish tea glass.
HOW TO MAKE TURKISH BLACK TEA
Have a teapot and a kettle. Put one spoonful of tea for each tea glass in the teapot and rinse with cold water to wash away the dustlike particles. Put water into the kettle, place the teapot on it and put the kettle on a stove to have the water boiled. Pour boiled-and-calmed-down-for-a-minute water into the teapot. Put some more water into the kettle, put the fire to half when boiled, and wait until there is no bubbles on the surface of the tea in the teapot--which means that your tea is ready to be served. Pour some from the teapot with the help of a strainer and fill the rest of the tea glass with water from the kettle. Decide if you like your tea dark or light, with sugar or without. You can also add a few drops of lemon juice, but never milk.

Thank you, I actually "was", I have to practice my hand drawing again.
I'll have to try this tea sometime, thanks. Wonderful watercolor!
Lovely artwork, matched by the tradition of your tea.
Hey! What do you mean? MAKE it? No way! I'll keep the tea companies in business I think. But I love that you did the post in this fashion...so informational! Lovely art work, BTW!
well, thank you all for you kind comments :)
and Ellen, it actually is a stay-at-home-day's work to prepare tea this way, takes time but is the most delightful. I saw on amazon that they sell the same exact brand that I use, goes: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0002DQYGE/104-9435276-1495147?v=glance
