Got a Scarf

This is my latest scarf made with the pattern in my first post. The yarn is
I bought it at a very low price from a shop in Kadikoy, 1 YTL for a 50 gr ball (!) It is 100% superwash wool. My scarf is 2,70 m long and 15 cm wide. I knit it with 10 mm straight needles with 20 stiches. I used 7 balls (350 gr) of this yarn. The yarn is actually for 6 mm needles, 15 stiches per 10 cm. The scarf is cozy and soft, means I like it so much. This is the detail to inspect. Colored days...

Here I admit: I LOVE POLYMER CLAY

I made my first polymer clay knitting-needle-ends (I had a pair of needles without ends), oh my god that material is so nice, so easy to shape, so beautiful in colors, so clean and so on...
You play with it in your hands until it is soft enough to work with (prefer to do it before you mix the colors). Don't forget to pack back the rest that u are not using. And now u can do whatever u want to do with that lovely thing! After everything is as u wish, put it in the oven (regular house oven) following the instructions on the package. Enjoy...
Here are some links: this one, this one, this, this, and this one

P.S. I don't have a digital cam or even a scanner. So I'll share the photos later sometime in the future, sorry.

/ Polymer clay (Turkcesini bilmiyorum, bilen varsa yazsın bana) denilen harikulade malzemeyle tanistim. Tepelerindeki boncuklari kayip olan eski metal sislerime tepe yaptim. Kullanimi cok kolay. Hoscakalin.

Hello there... / Merhaba

Hi. This is Mehlika from Istanbul. I am about to graduate from Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts as a photographer. I love knitting, but I love buying the yarn better. So this blog is the place I will show everyone what I do and maybe that will help me knit all my yarns (and have room for the new ones). ENJOY

This is a photograph by me taken in Eilat. I named it "Together".

From now on, I will try to share my crafts (well... knitting mostly:) with you all. I will probably have problems about the photos of the knitted objects, but I am learning how to write a pattern, so from time to time, I will share some of my patterns with whoever reads this. Here you go with the first one, a free stitch pattern:

Cast on even number of stitches

Row 1: *k1 k-b* repeat beween the *'s to the end of the row

Repeat this 1st row. There you have your two-sided pattern for your next scarf (remember to use a soft yarn or 1,5-2 mm thicker needles if u want to make a scarf out of it). And if u want it striped, it's better to change colors every two rows, at least. Have fun!

/ Selam. Bu fotografi Eilat'ta çektim. Adi "Together" (Birlikte). Buyrun:

Cift sayida ilmek atin,

* 1 ilmek duz or, 1 ilmek duz alttaki ilmekle birlikte or *

her sirada tekrar et
